Donations to
the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History
There are
numerous ways you can donate to the Wrightsville
Beach Museum of History. If you would
like to discuss a possible donation to the Museum with a staff
member or member of the Board of Directors, please contact us at
(910) 256-2569.

Preserving and
displaying donations of photographs, documents,
and artifacts related to the history of
Wrightsville Beach are the heart of the Museum's
activities. The generosity of past donors
has made possible the Museum that we have today.
We invite all friends of the Museum who want to
protect and disseminate those things that
represent the history, the fun, and the memories
of the Beach to consider contributing to the
Museum's holdings.

We are
interested in photographs and illustrations that record the
activities at the Beach and the people who were a part of it.
Subjects of particular interest include: visits to Wrightsville
Beach by well known people, antique photographs and
illustrations of well known commercial and recreational
facilities on the Beach, boating and fishing scenes from the
past, any activities before 1930, and public activities such as
meetings, parties and celebrations. Actually, if the
activity was memorable enough for you and your family to save a
photograph, we are probably interested in it! Naturally,
we are also interested in small and medium size artifacts of any
type that reflect beach activities. Past gifts from donors
have included antique appliances, fishing gear, kitchen ware,
toys, clothes, home decorations, and furniture. If you
want to retain the original document, you can still benefit the
Museum and its visitors by allowing us to digitally scan the
piece. The original item is returned to you, unharmed in
any way, within a few days.
If you would

member or member of the Board of Directors, please contact us at

their support.

Josh
Rickards of Creative Cascades has donated his time and
supplies to upgrade and maintain the fish pond that is in
honor of Elaine Creasy. The renovations are now done
so stop by to see this great work. The plantings made
possible by the grant from the Cape Fear Garden Club were
used as part of the landscaping.
