Many thanks to ALL who participated in Lumina Daze on Sunday, August 30 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at The Blockade Runner Resort, 275 Waynick Boulevard, Wrightsville Beach, NC.    

This evening of fun for all ages benefited the Wrightsville Beach Museum and featured shag music with Buddy Skipper and the Jetty Jumpers and big band sounds with Wilmington Big Band.  Fun and games for the young and the young at heart included face painting, a cakewalk, bean bag toss, and limbo contest.  A Silent Auction and Raffle included a wide assortment of fine art, services, and specialties from local businesses. 

The Harmony Belles and Chordsmen returned to perform and a bathing beauties screen presentation along with a DVD of Bill Creasy's noted photograph and postcard collection recording Wrightsville Beach history was shown throughout the evening. 

Wrightsville Beach Museum's new book on the history of the beach, Tide and Time, was available for signing by the author, Virginia Kuhn.  The book features numerous photographs from local collections and a newly-researched history of the beach.
